Pimbahal Pokhari is a historic pond located in the heart of Lalitpur, Patan. Believed to have been built in the 14th century during the Malla period, it served as a water reservoir for the local community and was a place of religious and cultural importance. Surrounded by traditional Newar houses, shrines, and resting platforms (pati), this serene pond reflects the close relationship between nature and urban life in ancient Nepali cities. The pond was reconstructed after the 2015 earthquake and now serves as a peaceful retreat in the bustling city.
